Toy story 5 is huge!
The fifth film in the Toy story franchise brought in $312 million at the global box office in its opening weekend, the biggest opening weekend in the series and the biggest domestic opening of 2026 to date.
The proceeds amount to $160 million domestically and $152 million abroad.
It’s on track to be the biggest domestic launch of 2026 yet and top the charts Super Mario Bros. Galaxy film’s opening gross of $130.9 million.
Toy story 5‘s opening is also a record for the franchise, topping Toy story 4‘s $120.9 million launch in 2019. Toy story 4 grossed $238 million worldwide in its opening weekend.
It is the second highest international debut for Pixar behind Inside out 2and the second largest opening of 2026 worldwide The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
