Four times, Jenelle Evans openly bashed David Eason
Jenelle Evans has a lot to say, and she’s not afraid to say it on the internet. What Jenelle doesn’t seem to take into account is that the internet is forever. Although she has routinely targeted her ex-husband on social media, often in the heat of the moment, she is just as quick to walk back some of her more explosive statements.
In 2023, David Eason was charged with assault by strangulation and child abuse in connection with an alleged incident involving Jenelle’s teenage son Jace; that criminal case remains pending. After her divorce from David, Jenelle made it clear to the court that she feared for the safety of her children, citing the incident as a deciding factor. When she briefly returned to Teen Mom: The Next Chaptershe even sat Jace down to talk about what happened. During the scene she asked how he felt now that David was no longer in the picture. More recently, as the two have grown closer again, she has softened her public stance on that incident.
Jenelle also claimed that David was a lousy father who had no contact with the daughter they share for over a year. Over the course of 2024, she regularly took shots at him for this lack of involvement. She even insinuated that he was too busy with his girlfriend to act like a father. But now Jenelle insists that David is an active and involved father who is simply trying to effectively co-parent their young daughter with her. Social media followers find the turnaround a bit absurd.
Evans also took photos of Eason’s living and employment situation after their divorce. While they were apart, she made it clear several times that she was the breadwinner of the family and that David had taken advantage of her income for his own benefit. The criticism followed years of Evans publicly defending Eason and his work situation.
Finally, and most seriously, Jenelle accused her ex-husband in court of possessing material related to the sexual exploitation of a minor. She tearfully testified at a 2024 custody hearing, saying she found memory cards in David’s phone. She claimed to have told them what she had seen to the police, the FBI and family court. A search warrant was later issued for Eason’s electronic devices, but authorities say no charges were ever filed. Since she and David started spending time together again, Jenelle has not publicly revisited the accusation. Eason has not been charged in connection with the claim.

Jenelle Evans won’t say she’s dating David Eason again. Still, the change in her social media habits and the time the two spend together very clearly suggest a reconciliation. The reunion appears to have started in January 2026. That month, Eason flew from North Carolina to Las Vegas to see their daughter Ensley during a hospital stay. What started as a hospital visit converted into an extended staywhile the exes are spotted having dinner together. The pair soon started following each other again on social media. Per the outlet, they even spent Valentine’s Day together in Sin City.
The sightings continued throughout the spring, including several outings in Las Vegas. Tellingly, Evans even publicly defended Eason from his ex-girlfriend amid online drama. It was a decidedly strange move, considering everything she’s said about him.
