Specifically, the tipster alleged that he was buried in a stream in an area called Mariposa. The group searched the area earlier this spring and found more than 25 unmarked graves, from which the remains of at least 32 people were recovered. After receiving this information, they returned to the area to search near the streams with the help of Sonora State Commission for the Search of Missing Persons. Municipal and state officials also provided security forces to help keep volunteers and workers safe. Sadly, they have had no success finding Guthrie so far. They plan to continue the search.
