According to royal experts, Charles’s role in Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK shows he genuinely wants to reconcile with his young son after years of tension. However, the move also demonstrates the king’s leadership in the context of being the head of the family, reports mirror.
Speaking about the upcoming reunion, royal author and historian Andrew Looney said: “I think this is a real rapprochement. For many years now, these two royal dramas (Andrew and Harry) have been going on, and it’s going on now.”
He added: “Nobody wants to fight with their kids, and me too I think there’s a real personal desire here to see his grandchildren. “But I also think the king believes that having an isolated royal family is not good for the vision.”

Admitting that the Sussexes’ return to Britain is a step in the right direction, the Scottish royal commentator said: “I think it would be great for Archie and Lilibet to see which country their dad is from and where their mom and dad were married.
“It will be great for them, and also to see their dad’s work at the Invictus Games which is really incredible. On a purely human level, (the reunion) can only be a wonderful thing. I think it’s definitely a big old olive branch being extended there.”
