Melanie Martinez pays tribute to her ex Oliver Boom.
The 31-year-old singer took to Instagram Story on Sunday (June 14) and responded to the sad news that the 32-year-old singer tragically died in a helicopter crash in Brazil.
“Today was an absolute wreck. It’s really hard to understand how someone you once shared such a specific and formative time of your life with could suddenly be gone,” she wrote on her face. accountand added his song ‘Introspective’ to the story.
“He was so dedicated to his art, which I admired and respected so deeply. I think everyone who knew him will look back on the moments of laughter and joy that he so easily brought about,” Melanie continued. “His laugh was so infectious and warm. His ability to creatively lead and take action while maintaining a sense of childlike wonder and awe was so inspiring. He had such a gentle heart and was a true artist in every way.”
Melanie concluded, “Rest in peace Oliver. I know you’re making the angels giggle. I’ll be here wondering what stunt and creative project you’re planning in heaven. All my love.”
If you don’t know, Melanie revealed she was dating Olivier in 2019, but rumors of a breakup began in June 2020 after they deleted photos and comments and she unfollowed him on all social media accounts.
In May 2021, she confirmed that they had broken up a while ago and remained on good terms.
