Aimee Mann admits she almost couldn’t perform with Rush anymore

Aimee Mann recently joined Hast during their first four shows Fifty Something reunion tourperformance “Time stands still” at each of the band’s concerts in Los Angeles.

Until these recent performances, Mann had never performed the 1987 classic in concert with Rush. In a recent social media post, the singer revealed that she almost passed up the opportunity.

“In March I received an email from Geddy Leefrom the band Rush,” Mann wrote in a comic on Instagram. “But I was honestly in a shy situation and couldn’t imagine doing it. I was in such a hole that I couldn’t even respond somehow. I knew I would regret it if I didn’t try. They were so nice and hospitable. I felt protected by their bubble of music and Canadian warmth, and supported by their fans.
