Tom Cruise’s “Jerry McGuire” co-star Beau Bridges believes the 63-year-old actor is getting better with age.
“I really enjoyed working with him,” said Bridges, who starred with Cruise in the ’90s romantic comedy. Bridges isn’t the only actor who has thoughts on Cruise’s famous stunt.
Earlier this year, Ethan Hawke revealed he has become “pissed off” at Cruise, pointing out that the “Mission: Impossible” star’s high-risk stunt work has changed the expectations audiences and studios have from actors across Hollywood.

Last year, Cruise nearly broke his back while performing a stunt for “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”
In bonus material from the film’s digital release, Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie detailed one of the film’s most harrowing scenes: a high-flying biplane fight between the actor’s character, Ethan Hunt, and Gabriel, portrayed by Esai Morales.
The scene showed Ethan jumping from one plane to another as he clung to the wing in midair.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Cruise said, “Oh, it broke my back.”
“You’re talking about a lot of pain here,” McQuarrie shouted.
In the video clip, Cruise’s character was seen wearing his seat belt to save his life as the plane overturned.
“Now look at this, the thing we haven’t talked about is holding this belt,” McQuarrie described, while Cruise said, “Oh my God, that was brutal.”
The director continued to explain, “It forced the joints of Tom’s fingers apart, so by the time we finished the sequence, your hands were completely swollen – oh my God, it was so painful to watch.”
During the intense scene, Cruise’s character was forced to collide with the side of the plane. As soon as he remembered the pain, hollywood actor Said, “Oh, that was brutal. That blow, that was very hard.”
McQuarrie joked, “And you corrected it, thank you very much. I appreciate that. You were like, ‘I think we’ll need this,’ and I was like, ‘I didn’t ask you to do that.'”
