From the beginning, Jelly Roll knew exactly what the audience was expecting, saying:
“What’s going on YouTube, guess who’s back? You all didn’t think you were going to hear from me this week? I’m sure you were all like, ‘There’s no way we’re going to hear from Jelly Roll this week. She’s in the middle of a divorce. There’s no way we’re going to hear from you.'”
The singer also addressed the rumors in the video’s caption, promising to tell fans the truth straight away instead of letting gossip take over:
“Okay. I’m divorced. You’ve all seen the headlines. Heard the rumors. Read everything your cousin’s friend’s co-worker said on Facebook. I’m not going to sit here and pretend none of this happened – but I also think you all deserve to hear it straight instead of fifteen rounds of telephone. So okay, y’all – let’s finally talk about this.”
Naturally, the audience sat in anticipation of a big reveal. After all, when someone titles a video “The Divorce Vlog,” you assume there’s some serious tea is about to be spilled!
And Jelly Roll certainly lived up to those expectations. At the end of the video he teased:
“Okay, I told you I was going to give you hot tea about divorce. I know you’ve been waiting. Are you ready for it?”
What happened next, however, was the ultimate curveball.
Instead of launching into a dramatic explanation, Jelly Roll reveals that bunny Self Was ready to talk! He then turned all the attention towards his ex-girlfriend, who was revealed in the video, by saying:
“Mama Bear, tell them where to find it.”
The bunny happily obliged:
“Okay guys, go to my YouTube ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast, check out ‘The Divorce’ podcast. All your questions will be answered.”
And then came the moment that probably made fans laugh out loud, with Jelly Roll saying:
“Yeah, you all thought we’d hate each other, didn’t you? Twist in the tale, bitch!”
Very good!
The biggest shock here may be how united these two still seem despite ending their marriage. Instead of trading criticism or fueling speculation, Jelly Roll used the vlog to send viewers straight to Bunnie’s podcast and support her platform!

The pair ended the call by telling each other that they love each other, making it clear that there was no bad blood between them whatever happened.
