If media reports are true, we’re just days away from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
And this social event of the century could turn into a massive nightmare for New York’s finest.
As we previously reported, it seems Taylor and Travis plan to get married at Madison Square Garden.

(Yes, the Mecca of basketball isn’t usually a wedding venue, but they’ll make an exception for a multi-billionaire who also happens to be the most famous woman on the planet.)
insiders tell new York Times The wedding is scheduled to take place on July 3, although July 2 and 4 are also possibilities.
This means Tay and Trav will host the celebrity event of the year in Midtown Manhattan on America’s 250th anniversary weekend.
Needless to say, this event will definitely attract all kinds of attention:
In addition to the army of sweeties who will undoubtedly gather outside the arena, there will certainly be swarms of paparazzi and a few protesters expressing their distaste for Taylor’s exorbitant wealth.
As a result of the chaos over the next weekend, the NYPD has reportedly been placed on high alert.
Diversity spoke to two police officers who work the Midtown beat, and they both revealed that they were briefed on the Swift-Kelsey wedding and what to expect from them.
“Both policemen said they have been briefed about the potential influx of Taylor Swift fans, paparazzi and spectators that day, and it has been a topic of discussion and amusement when chatting with their friends on the force,” the outlet wrote.
We’re sure Taylor will be joined by her own top-tier security detail, but she’s probably breathing a little sigh of relief knowing that the NYPD is on the job, too.
However, New York taxpayers may feel a little differently, and certainly many travelers will wish that Taylor and Travis had opted to hold their wedding on a private island.
Details are still scarce, and we don’t know exactly When? Travis and Taylor will say “I do,” but Times Reports suggest that there will be an event for around 100 people at MSG on July 2.
There will be a big event on July 3 with 1,000 guests.
Is the first ceremony the ceremony, and the second the reception? Is this all happening on the first day and Taylor hosting a little concert for her VIP friends on the second?
only time will tell. But in the meantime, at least it seems like the safety of everyone involved will be ensured.
