the pit Actor, Moshe Kasher has revealed that he is undergoing treatment for oropharyngeal Cancer at the age of 46, as he details the painful surgery.
The actor shared his story on social media, revealing that he was diagnosed with early stage cancer, which he discovered after he ‘bumped’ his tonsils while filming with the director in Savannah. judd apatow and actor Glen Powell.
He further wrote, “It was cancer. Which was not controlled with such rigor.” Instagram. “Two days ago, a Jewish surgery robot at Cedars-Sinai held and cut my jaw open for 5 hours and then cut my throat and dissected my neck, leaving severe scars on my neck that would make people reluctant to fight me on the street.
He shared a photo of the surgery he experienced, saying, “My tongue was clamped and taken out of my mouth and it was swollen and hurt. It feels like I’m Sam.”
“This has been the most terrifying and mind-blowing experience of my life. My life has been one of terror, meditation, tears and medical planning (oh and jokes about the 12 hour days on set).”
He then said he was in pain but hopeful: “I’m in pain and I’m in the middle of a very difficult process. It’s going to be a long summer. But the good news is that the cancer I have has an incredibly high cure rate (in the 95% area). I’ll find out next week whether or not I need radiation, but regardless I’ll be fine and be a good person as soon as possible.”
He also joked that he got cancer from sex because it is part of the HPV virus, and then said on a serious note: “I am so grateful that I have a life that is worth living and can have a baby this Father’s Day.”
He said he could not believe he managed to make a film while doing so, but praised director Judd Apatow, saying he could not have been more “supportive”.

The comedian has appeared on a number of shows including The Pit starring noah wyle. In the show, the stand-up comedian played a character named Samuel Jacob, an American sign language interpreter who helps deaf patients. Moshe has also appeared in shows such as The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Shameless, and Zoolander 2.
He is married to fellow comedian Natasha Leggero and the pair have a daughter who was born in 2018. In an episode of their joint podcast, Endless Honeymoon PodcastMoshe said of his diagnosis: “If (the cancer) has spread even microscopically – and they won’t know until I have surgery – then I’ll need radiation.”
He also said it was his “worst nightmare” because his father died from “a completely different cancer… that was less treatable than this cancer,” which he “found on his neck.”
