Janet Caperna named the most calculated and greatest instigator of The valley featured during a podcast interview last week.

To which she also responded Christian Doute43 and Nia Booko36, suggesting she was “performative” on the Bravo reality series and explaining what viewers tend to misunderstand about her, Janet took aim at her co-stars’ behind-the-scenes antics.

“Kristen (is the most calculated),” Janet revealed on the June 16 episode of After editing with Daryn Carpvia Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram. “I feel like she has a lot of off-camera conversations that kind of, I don’t know, throw a wrench in things sometimes.”

As for the biggest instigator? Janet said it “probably” would be Zack Wickham37.

Regarding Kristen and Nia’s suggestion that she was fake on the show, Janet pointed out that she and Kristen had a long history.

“Kristen and I had a friendship before the show. A lot of it involved like having a peace pipe together. Like she was my friend, like we hung out a lot, all that, so she knew me before the show,” Janet shared. “Nia was a newer friend in my life.”

According to Janet, she felt that Kristen simply saw her at a different time in her life.

“I think in season 1, she’s like, ‘You’re acting different.’ I say, “Yes, I am seven months pregnant. I’m more rude than I’ve ever been. Ask Jason how awful it’s been,” she recalled. “When she said, ‘You’re different,’ I absolutely was. Performative, I think, is the wrong word.

Looking back at her and Jason Caperna‘s decision to participate The valleyJanet said the two of them made an active decision to be themselves.

“We really went in with like, ‘We’re just going to be ourselves. We must give 100%. If we agree to show our lives, we have to show our lives, the good, the bad, the ugly.” So I, you know, I’m not trying to be performative,” she said. “I don’t think about things I want to do, probably to my own detriment sometimes. But I just try to be real and in the moment.”

Also during the interview, Janet shared the biggest misconception people have about her.

“I see a lot that I like, this manipulative, like I’m like evil and I like to plot and plan. And even though I’m a very type A person, I kind of do life on the fly,” she revealed. “My planning and scheduling in life isn’t as bad as people think … I kind of just roll with the punches and the good comes out sometimes, the bad comes out. And I’m not perfect, so I fully accept that … and I love having friends who hold me accountable in those moments.”

The valley season three sent on Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
