Royal commentator Amanda Matta said this Page six that there is currently “no indication” that Archie and Lilibet will spend time with the Welsh children during the visit.
“Even if relations gradually improve, the Welsh household likely already has a full schedule ready for the summer, and any reunion involving the cousins would require a lot of planning and goodwill from all parties involved,” Matta explained.
According to the Off With Their Heads podcast host, the biggest obstacle remains the strained relationship between Harry and William, as well as the dynamic involving their wives.
“Tensions between the brothers and their wives could be the biggest hurdle,” Matta noted, adding that the situation becomes even more complicated, especially if Catherine were to be involved in any plans.
Royal reporter Emily Nash echoed a similar view, telling Page Six that it’s “way too early to tell” whether the cousins will reunite. While she acknowledged that the children could theoretically attend the same family gathering, she doesn’t expect that to happen on this trip.
“Given the very difficult nature of William and Harry’s relationship, I don’t see them rushing to spend time together just because Harry is back in Britain,” Nash said.
Still, Nash believes that both brothers ultimately want their children to get to know each other. “In any family, you would hope that cousins would have the opportunity to spend time together and grow up together, and I’m sure they wouldn’t think otherwise,” she explained.
For now, the focus seems to be on Harry’s attempts to reconnect with King Charles. Reports suggest the monarch is hopeful of seeing Archie and Lilibet again, having not spent meaningful time with his youngest grandchildren since celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
