Julie Chen Moonves hopes to compete in “Big Brother 28”

Big Brother 28 host Julie Chen Moonves has a dream for the reality competition series’ milestone 1,000. episode, which is to participate in the iconic Wall competition. There have been many rumors about that Big Brother 28 will have returning houseguestsbut nothing is confirmed yet. All fans know so far is that Julie will definitely return as host, a role she’s held on the show since it premiered on July 5, 2000.

The wall first appeared in Big Brother 10 in 2008 and since then it has become one of the most grueling endurance competitions for the participants. The houseguests must stand on a small platform on a wall, which at times tilts forward, all while being drenched with liquids, hit with objects and more. It is one of the most burdensome Big brother competitions, and every year fans look forward to seeing what variations it will have. The first winner of the Wall competition was April Dowling in Big Brother 10while last year, i Big Brother 27finished runner-up Vince Panaro out for the win.

Julie has been part of some of Big brother’s competitions before. She appeared in a video highlighting her fashion for one Big Brother 25 Head of Household (HOH) competition and the houseguests had to save her in one of the first Big Brother 27 game of the season. Additionally, Julie previews the BB Blockbuster games on Instagram by trying them out for herself. But for Big Brother 28she wants to do even more by competing on the Wall.

In an interview with TV Insiderrevealed Julie wants to enter the Wall competition with a goal of lasting 1,000 seconds (16 minutes and 40 seconds) in honor of the series’ 1,000. episodes that will air this season. she said “God only knows if I can do it and if the Powers That Be at Big Brother and CBS say yes to my unexpected idea! Pray they say yes and pray I make it!”

Julie also shared that she wanted to love to compete in one Big brother season in the futureand wanted her teenage son to be her housemate. She explained, “He’s more athletic than me, smarter than me, and funnier than me. As his mom, I’d protect him like the greatest mama bear the world has ever seen…or would I? I mean, at the end of the day, it’s a game and everybody’s everybody else’s competition! It would be fun to watch, that’s for sure. Even for me to see those questions.”

Julie gave birth to her son, Charlie, on September 24, 2009. He is her only child with her husband, former CBS chairman Les Moonves. Charlie is now 16 years old.

Julie has been the host Big brother since 2000, and fans have always wondered how she would fare as a houseguest. In her 25-plus years of hosting, she’s seen it all: every strategy, every mistake, and every legendary move that led to houseguests winning the game. It would be exciting to see her play the game and apply all her knowledge. It would also be exciting to see Julie take on the Wall competition in Big Brother 28and compete alongside the houseguests because she is such an icon. But first, Big Brother 28 must reveal the house and the participants before the premiere on July 9.

Big Brother 28 will premiere on Thursday 9 July at 8:00 PM ET on CBS with a special 90-minute episode.
