The late StartThe parents are reportedly at odds over how to split the money from the wrongful death lawsuit over his 2022 murder.
According to documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday (June 24), Takeoff’s mother, Titania Davenport, does not feel that his father, Kenneth Ball, should receive anything because he was absent from a majority of the former. Migos the rapper’s life.
Tatiana was the person who filed the lawsuit in Texas and won, but is now facing Kenneth in the middle of probate. In her submitted response to how the funds should be distributed, Tatiana said she shared a “close, loving and nurturing relationship” with her son throughout his life, raising him as a single mother and providing almost all financial support until he reached adulthood.
She also said that she continued to support him as he built his music career, before Takeoff later began covering many of her expenses, including housing, vehicles, clothing, food and supplies. She noted Kenneth’s absence, adding that he provided “negligible financial support and indeed no emotional support,” and received no financial help from their son after his success.
Kenneth, on the other hand, argues that even if he was absent, he is still entitled to part of the settlement money. He also wants the state of Texas to handle the case, while Tatiana wants Georgia to do it, especially since that’s where the probate was filed.
The judge has not yet ruled on the case.
