It’s official! James Kennedy is expecting his first child.
Just over a month later rumors claimed the 34 year old Vanderpump Rules alum had gotten his then unknown girlfriend pregnant, James has confirmed the news and revealed that he and his girlfriend of eight months were born in North Carolina Jordaan Meijers23, soon to be parents.
“We are excited to share that Jordan and I are expecting our first child together,” James confirmed PEOPLE on June 11. “We have previously kept our relationship out of the public eye, and this is the first time we have shared it publicly. We wanted to keep things personal while we worked on our relationship together, and we have shared this news privately with close friends and family for some time.”
“As we prepare for this next chapter, it felt like the right time to share it more broadly. This is an incredibly special and meaningful time for us, and we are deeply grateful to be entering this new chapter surrounded by love and support from our family and friends,” he continued. “It has been an inspiring and exciting part of our lives, and we look forward to all that lies ahead. As we get ready to welcome our baby, we are focused on embracing all the joy, growth and change that comes with growing older.”
According to Jordan, who is four months pregnant, she and James immediately had a “strong spark.”

“We first connected on Instagram and then met in person at one of his shows. I’m from North Carolina, so I went to visit James for what was supposed to be ‘three days’ which turned into eight months together,” she revealed. “It was the most incredible experience watching our love grow and preparing to become parents together.”
“I’m so excited for all the wonderful memories to come – we are already so in love with our little one!” Jordan added.
Prior to his romance with Jordan, fans of Pump rules saw James’ date Kristen Dout43, Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss31, and Ally Lewber30, on the show. After the series wrapped, and during his three-year relationship with Ally, so was James arrested for domestic violence. And although charges were never filed against him, he and Ally called it quits soon after.
As fans may have noticed, Ally talked about James’ baby news during an interview last month.
“We know he moves fast, and he always wanted to be a dad. That was always a thing with us. He was so ready for all that stuff yesterday, and I’m still not ready. We haven’t talked, so I just hope he’s happy and healthy, and I wish them the best,” Ally shared. Tudum from Netflix.
In addition to focusing on his sobriety and DJ career in recent months, James has turned to charity work with organizations like Midnight Mission, Vanderpump Dogs, Pups Without Borders, homeless shelters and recovery centers.
