Here are 32 LGBTQIA+ icons in rock and metal.

In honor of Pride Month and to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community all year long, we’ve put together a gallery of LGBTQIA+ figures in rock and metal. Below the list are Judas Priest’S Rob Halford, Queen’S Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Halestorm’S Lzzy Hale, Greta Van Fleet’s Josh Kiszka and many others.

June is the commemoration LGBTQIA+ Pride Monthin honor of the Stonewall riots which took place in June 1969. The uprising was a response to a police raid in Greenwich Village, New York, and is considered the single most important event that sparked the gay liberation movement.

October 11th is National Coming Out Dayto encourage those who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community to share their authentic selves with others and for others to welcome it with love and acceptance.

In November, Trans consciousness is celebrated and, more specifically, Transgender Awareness Week will take place from November 13 to 19, to increase visibility for trans people and to further discuss issues that continue to face the trans community. Transgender Day of Remembrance follows on November 20 in observations of the transgender lives lost due to anti-trans violence.

While the three times of year mentioned above are dedicated to members of the LGBTQIA+ community, we celebrate pride all year round.
