Brittany Mahomes is no stranger to the soccer world as she played forward at the University of Texas at Tyler for four years and spent a year playing professionally in Iceland before focusing on entrepreneurship and fitness.

Her 2016 campaign stands as one of the most dominant seasons in program history, as she set single-season records with 40 points, 18 goals and seven game-winning goals. She also tallied four hat tricks that year, matching the program record for most goals scored in a single game.

Brittany may be best known today for her life in the public eye and her growing footprint in sports ownership, but long before the cameras and headlines, football was where it all started.

Brittany has also made it clear that she never thought she should be in one type of category, believing that women can excel in more than one area of life.
Her recent induction into the Hall of Fame highlighted her accomplishments on the field, but as for her main takeaways, she says one of them was to be authentic and try to be her best.
Years later, she took up a career in sports again in a different role, co-owner of the inaugural women’s soccer team in Kansas City, the Kansas City Current, in 2020 before the sport took off.
The franchise is now worth $325 million, and the performances at CPKC Stadium, the first stadium ever built for a professional women’s sports team, are a testament to the growth of the sport and the development of Brittany’s career.

She also credited motherhood for making her more motivated, aware and focused to prioritize opportunities that align with her values.
Despite becoming a mother and raising a family, Brittany revealed that her competitive side remains and she doesn’t feel shy about bringing it out during family games with her husband.
Since thrusting herself into the spotlight of owning a team and also being married to a popular soccer player, Brittany admitted it hasn’t been a walk in the park.
She admitted that the attention that came with her platform brought hard lessons; however, Patrick has helped her maintain perspective by reminding her to stay grounded, ignore outside noise, and stay focused on the people and values that matter most.

Last January, Brittany broke her silence about disturbing behavior from Buffalo Bills fans who targeted her husband after the team’s narrow AFC Championship win.
