Marco Bezzecchi not allowed to race in the Czech Grand Prix on Sunday. The Italian motorcycle rider has been suspended for hitting one MotoGP marshal during a terrible display of anger in the sprint on Saturday.

He may lose his lead in the world rankings as a result of his absence.

Bezzecchi’s lack of restraint could have a significant impact on the current landscape of motorcycling race. What appeared to be a runaway victory will now come down to the wire.

Marco Bezzecchi beat a MotoGP marshal.

Bezzecchi looked to be on course for a top-five finish in the sprint race at Brno on Saturday until he went downhill and crashed his bike. The 27-year-old lost his balance while making a left turn and slid into the gravel. This has been a recurring problem. He has crashed in many races this season.

As you can imagine, Marco Bezzecchi was frustrated by the wreck. Not only did it hurt, it cost him a chance at victory. Unfortunately, he couldn’t control his emotions. The Italian rider lost his temper.

Race footage shows Bezzecchi getting back on his feet after the crash and running to his bike. He would press the switch to shut off the engine. Meanwhile, a group of race marshals also ran over to help with the situation. One of them appeared to pull the throttle, sending the rider into a rage.

Bezzecchi pushed the marshal aside and switched off his machine as the marshal tried to explain that he was only trying to lift the bike off the gravel. His explanation fell on deaf ears. Bezzecchi hit him with an open hand and stormed off.

Here’s another angle on the heated argument:

Not cool. Bezzecchi received widespread criticism for his bad behavior. Rightfully so.
