WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS ABOUT GENERAL HOSPITAL!General Hospital actress Katelyn MacMullen teases that there are many more surprises ahead in Willow and Drew’s storyline, as Willow’s diabolical plan for Drew begins to unravel. After attempting to kill her husband by shooting him, and then getting away with it when a jury found her not guilty, Willow Tait now keeps Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in a locked-up state by administering a paralytic drug to him. She has now taken over his duties in Congress and has full control over him.
But with the drug’s supplier, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), on the run, Willow only has a month’s supply left. Once it’s gone, Drew will be able to reveal the truth about his wife’s cowardly actions, including the shooting, because she told him she was his attacker just before she paralyzed him. Despite all this, Willow may still have hopes of keeping Drew quiet, as WSB agent Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) has evidence of Drew’s illegal activities, which she could use to blackmail him.
General Hospital’s Katelyn MacMullen tackles Willow and Drew’s predicament
In an interview with Soap Opera DigestMacMullen acknowledged that Willow is in a very dangerous situation now that Sidwell is gone. She explained, “She’s definitely racing against the clock.”
The General Hospital star continued, ‘There are so many factors working against her. But the important thing is that Sidwell is currently on the run. He has supplied her with the paralytic, and now that she has lost her source, she is almost at a loss.”
Willow already had a close call when Drew almost made it to 911 when his drugs started to wear off. MacMullen said: ‘She knows that if he misses a dose he will regain mobility, so she knows he will be able to move again soon. The clock is ticking and she needs this evidence against Drew, like yesterday!’
Katelyn MacMullen explains Brennan’s possible betrayal
After Willow’s mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), accidentally injected Brennan with the same paralytic drug as Drew, he was admitted to Turning Woods, also in a locked up state. However, her conscience would not allow her to continue drugging him, and much to Willow’s shock, Brennan slowly recovers. He has managed to convince Willow and Nina to stop drugging him for good so he can retrieve the evidence against Drew from a safe in his office at WSB headquarters.
MacMullen acknowledges that, however Willow may have doubts about Brennanand that she could suspect him of trying to deceive them. She stated: “I think that’s on her mind. I don’t know if she trusts a lot of people or takes a lot of people at their word right now. But she wants to believe him because if he tells the truth, it would be the biggest relief in the world for her. That proof is exactly what she needs to get out of this situation.”
Katelyn MacMullen teases more twists from the General Hospital writers
MacMullen knows Willow is backed into a corner and really has no choice but to trust Jack. She explained, “What choice does Willow have, according to Willow? She needs to say yes to him, because if he’s honest, and he has something against Drew in that vault, then this can all finally be over.”
MacMullen acknowledged that Willow’s latest plan may not be as simple as it seems, and that the writers have some more tweaks in store. She said: “Let’s just say there are no surprises for the writers. There are more fun things to come!”
