Beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira suffered a terrifying health crisis that resulted in her being rushed to hospital.
The 28-year-old TikTok star shared an excerpt on Friday (June 12) it showed her dressed in a hospital gown and walking around the hospital with an IV.
“Pov: You passed out from severe pain while filming a Tik Tok makeover, called 911, rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, and now you’re getting emergency appendix removal surgery,” she wrote in the text overlay and then in the caption: Mikayla added: “So I just had my appendix removed.”
Hours later, after returning from the hospital, she shared an update video for her concerned fans and followers.
‘Not how I want to spend my birthday’ Mikayla started the video and filmed as she lay with her hair wrapped in a towel.
She goes on to say that she was flying home to Massachusetts from Los Angeles when she began experiencing “discomfort and pain” and tried to “sleep it off” before later waking up in increasingly severe pain.
I thought it was a stomach ache Mikayla tried to get through and film a makeup video.
“I was doing a makeup video, and while I was filming the room started spinning and I couldn’t breathe, I fell to the floor and passed out,” she said.
When she woke up, she immediately called 911 and was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance while doctors performed a CT scan and discovered that her appendix was on the verge of “rupture.”
“So they immediately had me undergo emergency surgery and I no longer have an appendix,” she continued.
“I have three incisions in my stomach and I can’t really walk,” she continued.
Mikayla her friend said Zach is currently taking care of her, “which is very sweet of him.”
“Yes, it’s going to be an interesting few days and I just wanted to let you know what happened, and I love you, and I’ll be here, in my bed,” she concluded.
